Emotions, Weight Issues, Boundaries, Body Shame
How often in life do we feel like we are existing but not really living and enjoying? We can feel like we are going through the motions, but not able to express ourselves fully whether that is creatively, sexually or emotionally.
The Sacral Chakra governs emotions, play & creativity. It enables us to fully engage with intimacy, warmth and playfulness. We all have an inner child that longs to break free and have some fun when we suppress this part of ourselves we can feel stale, imprisoned and joyless. We need to let our ideas flow, create for the sake of creation rather than being enslaved to preconceived ideas, rigorous rules and overly-controlled emotions.
Healing through The Sacral Chakra:
- If someone is struggling with an underactive Sacral Chakra they may be holding onto unexpressed emotions that are waiting to be released. They will need to work with their inner child through deep meditation to discover what brings them joy, what they can release to make room for unfettered enjoyment?
- Moreover, if someone is struggling with an overactive Sacral Chakra they may be brimming over with too much stimulation, ideas that never reach fruition before they move onto the next, overspending and relationship problems. In this instance, they need to do some work on rebalancing this aspect with healthy eating, exercise and affirmations.
- This aspect governs the hips, lower back, sexual organs, bladder, kidneys, stomach, large intestine, pelvis, appendix, and bodily fluids.
- To work with this aspect, ask questions like do I allow myself to feel pleasure? Do I give myself time to be creative? How do I function in relationships?
