Your body knows how to heal.

Why Emotional Wounds Feel “Unhealed”
Emotional wounds don’t just stay in the mind — they imprint on the body.
Painful experiences release biochemical reactions that create a felt emotional charge:

• shame
• guilt
• sadness
• anxiety
Unless these emotions are processed, they get stored in the body.
Dr. Candace Pert, author of Molecules of Emotion, famously said:
“The body is the subconscious mind.”
If emotions have no outlet, they embed themselves in the tissues and energy systems of the body — the liver, kidneys, stomach, back — anywhere they can settle.
This is why you can be “over” something logically…

As long as the wound is unprocessed, the subconscious mind continues to protect you by sounding the alarm whenever something resembles the original pain.
A comment.
A tone of voice.
A look.
A situation.

A fear of abandonment.
Suddenly, the old wound is activated — even if it happened decades ago.
This happens because 95% of our reactions come from the subconscious mind, according to Sigmund Freud.
Only 5% of your daily actions come from conscious awareness.
This means:
You don’t react to what is happening.
You react to what it reminds you of.
And until the inner wound is healed, the subconscious continues playing the same emotional script.
